TidyApp Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 19, 2026
1. Overview
TidyApp is a local-first desktop productivity application designed to help users organize multiple communication workspaces in one desktop environment. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you use the TidyApp website, desktop application, checkout flow, license activation, and related support channels.
2. Local-first desktop data
The TidyApp desktop application stores workspace information locally on your device. This may include account names, workspace groups, app settings, theme preferences, local lock settings, license state, and other configuration needed to run the app.
TidyApp does not upload your chats, passwords, browser sessions, cookies, or workspace content to TidyApp servers. Communication platform sessions remain inside the local desktop environment and are subject to the privacy practices of those third-party platforms.
3. License validation
If you activate TidyApp Pro, the desktop app may send your license key, activation identifier, device label, and a device-bound identifier to TidyApp license endpoints for activation and validation. This is used to confirm license status, manage activations, and reduce abuse. The device identifier is derived from local device information and is used for licensing, not for tracking your communication activity.
4. Website, checkout, and payment providers
The TidyApp website may be hosted by infrastructure providers such as Vercel. Checkout, payment processing, license issuing, invoices, customer portal features, and related purchase records may be handled by third-party services such as Polar. These providers may process information required to complete your purchase, provide receipts, prevent fraud, and operate their services.
TidyApp does not store complete payment card details. Payment information is handled by the payment provider according to its own policies and security practices.
5. Logs, cookies, and technical data
When you visit the website or call license endpoints, hosting and security systems may process technical information such as IP address, request path, browser metadata, timestamps, error logs, and similar operational data. The website may use cookies or comparable technologies where required by hosting, checkout, security, or payment systems.
6. How information is used
Information is used to provide the website and desktop application, process purchases, activate and validate Pro licenses, respond to support requests, secure the service, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
7. Data retention
Local desktop data remains on your device until you remove it through the application, operating system, or app uninstallation process. Purchase, license, support, and technical records may be retained as needed for business operations, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute handling, and legal compliance.
8. Your choices
You can uninstall TidyApp, remove local app data using your operating system tools, avoid activating a Pro license, or contact support for questions about purchase or license data. Some purchase and tax records may need to be retained by payment providers or TidyApp for legal and accounting reasons.
9. Security
TidyApp is designed to keep workspace data local and to limit the information sent to TidyApp services. No software or network service can be guaranteed completely secure, but reasonable safeguards are used to protect license and website operations.
10. Children’s privacy
TidyApp is not intended for children under 13, and it is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the website or purchase flow, contact support.
11. Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The updated date on this page will indicate when the policy was last revised.
